Rain Update

Dense clouds may remain in western Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand from morning onwards. The Indian Meteorological Department has predicted rain accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning in several states across the country. According to the Meteorological Department, three consecutive western disturbances are likely to affect North India on February 13th, 16th, and 17th. These three events are expected to trigger rain and snowfall in six states, including Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand.

During this period, thunderstorms, lightning, and winds of up to 30–40 kmph are also expected. On February 16th, rain and lightning are also expected in Punjab, Haryana, and Chandigarh. People have been urged to exercise caution due to the potential for lightning.

Rain

Cold weather will intensify in the hilly states.

According to the IMD, winter will continue in the hilly areas due to western disturbances. In the coming days, temperatures may increase slightly in the eastern Indian states of Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Sikkim, and Odisha. Cold weather is expected to persist in North India. Dry and warm weather is expected in South India, Maharashtra, and Gujarat. Rain is also expected in the northeastern regions.

According to the Meteorological Department, rain is expected in five mountainous districts of Uttarakhand until February 11th. According to the IMD, the weather is expected to remain dry throughout Uttarakhand from February 12th. The IMD has predicted dense fog in Haridwar and other surrounding districts today and tomorrow.

Delhi NCR Weather

According to the IMD, the weather in Delhi NCR is expected to remain mostly clear from February 10th to 13th. Light fog is expected in the mornings. During this period, the maximum temperature in the capital is expected to be 25 degrees, and the minimum temperature is expected to be 9 degrees.
