Monsoon Update – IMD warns of extremely heavy rains & thunderstorms in Many States Next 48 Hours

Weather Today: The weather is changing rapidly across the country. The movement of clouds in the Delhi-NCR region has led to a drop in temperature. According to IMD, the effect of Western Disturbance has caused a change in the weather in many parts of North India. The maximum temperature of Delhi has been recorded 2 degrees below normal, i.e. around 34 degrees Celsius. IMD has predicted light rain and thundershowers for the next 24 to 48 hours.

Weather conditions in Bihar

There is a chance of thunderstorms in Bihar today, i.e., on Thursday as well. During this time, strong winds at speeds of 40-50 km/h have been predicted at some places.

There will be no extreme heat situation anywhere in Bihar at present. According to the Meteorological Department, it will be hot in the first half of the day on Thursday, but there may be partial rain after noon. There is a possibility of partial rain in Jamui, Bhagalpur, and Nawada on Thursday.

Rain warning in these states

The Meteorological Department has predicted that there may be rain and snowfall in the hilly states of North India, including Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand. Whereas, light rain can also be recorded in some areas of Punjab, Haryana, and western Uttar Pradesh. Apart from this, pre-monsoon rain activities have intensified in Kerala and Tamil Nadu in South India. The Meteorological Department has issued a warning of thunderstorms and lightning in many districts of Madhya Pradesh.

Weather conditions in Delhi

According to the Meteorological Department, a warning has been issued for rain with thunder in Delhi today, May 2 and May 3. Due to rain, there may be a slight drop in temperature. The forecast also indicates that the sky will remain cloudy, with very light rain or drizzle possible. Along with light rain, dust storms can also occur with thunderstorms. The maximum temperature is expected to remain around 37 degrees Celsius and the minimum around 26 degrees Celsius, respectively.

According to the Meteorological Department, a rain warning has been issued in several districts of Uttar Pradesh, including Kaushambi, Prayagraj, Fatehpur, Pratapgarh, Varanasi, Sonbhadra, Mirzapur, Chandauli, Sant Ravidas Nagar, Jaunpur, and Ghazipur.
