According to the Meteorological Department, an alert has been issued for heavy rain accompanied by thunder and lightning in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikal. A warning of heavy rain has been issued in the coastal parts of Karnataka for the next 24 hours. A similar scary warning has been issued for Kerala and Mahe for June 16.
According to the Meteorological Department, a warning of heavy rain has also been issued in Goa. An alert of heavy rain has been issued in Gujarat on June 17 and 19. The onset of the monsoon has also brought relief to the people of Madhya Pradesh from the heat.
A heavy rain alert has been issued in Madhya Pradesh till June 20. A warning of rain has also been issued in Chhattisgarh for three days, i.e. from June 18 to 20. A rain alert has been issued in Jharkhand on June 17 and 18. Heavy rain is expected in Odisha for the next two days.
