Weather Update: Amidst the heat wave in the national capital, Delhi, people have gotten some relief from the storm on April 10. Strong winds are blowing in Delhi, Noida and Ghaziabad. The Meteorological Department has predicted thunderstorms. The temperature is also falling due to the storm. The India Meteorological Department said, “Both hot and very hot conditions were recorded at night in some parts of Delhi.
Dust storm started blowing in Noida on Thursday evening, relieving the people from the heat. There is no possibility of heat wave for the next week. Due to the effect of a western disturbance, an alert has been issued in Delhi regarding strong winds and light rain today and tomorrow. This will also reduce the temperature.
On the other hand, Delhi’s air quality remains poor. On Thursday, Delhi’s minimum temperature was recorded at 25.9 degrees. The day temperature may remain around 39 degrees Celsius. Light rain may also occur along with strong winds. Delhi’s AQI was recorded at 243 at 10 am on Thursday.
Rainfall Alert in These States
Apart from Delhi, the Meteorological Department has issued a warning of rain in Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand. Also, hailstorms and rain with strong winds can also occur in Punjab and Haryana. Rain warning has also been issued in Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh. A rain warning has also been issued in Bihar and Jharkhand.
The Meteorological Department said that due to the effect of a new western disturbance, there is a possibility of thunderstorms and rain in some parts of Rajasthan for the next 2-3 days.
Heat wave warning in these states
IMD estimates that in April, heatwaves will occur for 5-6 days in Odisha, West Bengal, Bihar and Jharkhand. Heatwaves are also expected to occur for 2-3 days in Delhi and North-West India. Heatwave conditions may prevail for 10-12 days between April and June in eastern India.
