Weather Update: The weather in the country is changing very fast. The heat is increasing in many states of the country. On the other hand, some states have issued warnings regarding storms, rain and strong winds. The pre-monsoon system will be active in many plains of North India.
There is a possibility of dust storms and light rain with thunder and lightning in Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Delhi, Chandigarh, and some parts of Western Uttar Pradesh on April 16 and 18. Apart from this, there is a possibility of storms and rain in most of the country’s states on April 16-17.
Rain and thunderstorm warning in these states
According to the Meteorological Department, an alert regarding heavy rains in Odisha, Bihar, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura has been issued. Winds will likely blow at 50-60 km / h. On April 16, a warning was issued regarding heavy rains and hailstorms in Odisha.
According to the Meteorological Department, stormy winds can blow in Bihar, Jharkhand and West Bengal adjacent to the Ganges tomorrow, i.e., April 17. Also, rain and strong winds can blow in Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh and Vidarbha on April 16. Lightning and thunder rain will occur in Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka, and Kerala for five days.
The Meteorological Department estimates a strong western disturbance will occur in Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand between April 16 and 20. Apart from this, heavy rain is expected on April 18–19. The effect of rain and dust storms can be seen in Punjab, Haryana and western Uttar Pradesh.
Weather conditions in Delhi
The maximum temperature in Delhi-NCR will remain between 38 and 41 degrees for the next week, but there is no possibility of a heat wave during this period. During this period, intermittent thunderstorms will continue, due to which a drop in temperature will be observed.
