Monsoon Alert – Warning Heavy to Very Heavy Rain Alert in 16 States over Next 2 Days

Monsoon Alert:- Heavy rains in the mountains have created a flood-like situation in many areas. Rescue operations are ongoing in Dharali and the surrounding areas of Uttarakhand. At the same time, the Meteorological Department has issued an alert due to heavy rains in many states across the country. The Meteorological Department has issued a warning of heavy to hefty rains in Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh for the next seven days.

Out of this, there will be hefty rain in Uttarakhand on August 13. Apart from this, an increase in rain activities can be seen in East Central India from August 12. The Meteorological Department estimates that there may be heavy rains in Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana between August 12-16.

Heavy rain warning in these states

According to the Meteorological Department, an alert has been issued regarding rain in Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Muzaffarabad till August 16. Apart from this, according to the Meteorological Department, heavy rains are expected in Himachal Pradesh on 15 and 16 August, in Punjab on 10, 11, 14, and 15 August, and in Haryana, Chandigarh, and Delhi between 13 and 15 August. Apart from this, hefty rains are expected in eastern Rajasthan on August 15 and 16. A heavy rain warning has been issued for the east of Uttar Pradesh on August 12 and 15.

Regarding Northeast India, heavy rains are expected in Arunachal Pradesh on August 13, Assam, Meghalaya on August 14, and Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura on August 13 and 14. According to the Meteorological Department, heavy rains are expected to occur in Tamil Nadu, Rayalaseema, and North Interior Karnataka between 14-16 August, and in South Interior Karnataka between 15 and 16 August.

Heavy rains are expected in western Madhya Pradesh on August 14 and 16, eastern Madhya Pradesh on August 16, Vidarbha on August 12, 15, and 16, Chhattisgarh on August 12, and the Andaman and Nicobar Islands on August 11. Apart from this, heavy rains are expected in Odisha on August 15 and 16.
