The Meteorological Department estimates that Western Disturbance is going to knock, due to which there will be heavy rain in many states between 16 and 20 April. There may also be heavy rain on 18 and 19 April. At the same time, warning of rain, thunderstorm has also been issued in the plains of North West India between 18-20 April.

During the last 24 hours, thunderstorms were seen in many states, including Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Interior Karnataka, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, Rayalaseema, Telangana, Assam, and Meghalaya. Apart from this, hail has also fallen in Telangana, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, Assam and Meghalaya. Heavy rain has been recorded in Odisha.
Rain warning in these states

According to the Meteorological Department, heavy rain will be seen in Arunachal Pradesh between 20 and 22 April. Strong winds can blow at a speed of 50-60 km per hour in Bihar on 17 and 18 April. Apart from this, there is a possibility of rain and storm in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, Rayalaseema, Telangana, Karnataka in the next five days.
The Meteorological Department says heavy rain will occur in Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, and Himachal Pradesh on 18 and 19 April. There is a possibility of a dust storm in western Rajasthan on 16 and in eastern Rajasthan on April 17.
