Independence Day 2025 Update: India is celebrating its 79th Independence Day today, which 140 crore countrymen are feeling proud about. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also hoisted the flag of independence from the ramparts of the Red Fort. He has hoisted the flag for the 12th consecutive time. During this, PM Narendra Modi also paid tribute to the sons who sacrificed their lives for the country.
Modi has fiercely attacked Pakistan. From the Red Fort, he indicated that blood and water will not flow together. We will look at terrorism and its masters with the same perspective. He held the old governments responsible for the Indus Agreement. Along with this, he thanked the country’s army for the success achieved in Operation Sindoor.

He said that we have paid true tribute to Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee by demolishing the wall of Section 370.

PM Narendra Modi has also inspected the parade by reaching the Red Fort in the morning. He has been given a guard of honour. Earlier, PM Narendra Modi reached Rajghat, where he paid tribute to Mahatma Gandhi. Then he also hoisted the tricolour from the Red Fort. He will reach the Red Fort in a short while and will hoist the tricolour from the ramparts.
