New Delhi: A massive fire broke out in a market in Kolkata’s Khidirpur area in the morning, in which more than 1300 shops were burnt to the ground. The flames were so intense that it was difficult to control them. But there is no news of any casualties yet.
The fire brigade team is working to extinguish the fire at the spot. Twenty fire brigade vehicles are trying their best to extinguish the fire. The fire has not yet been fully controlled. The cause of the fire has not been fully revealed yet.
State Fire Services Department gave important information.
The official from the Fire Services Department has stated that the fire has been primarily brought under control. He said that the spread of the fire has now been stopped.
Now, the problem the firefighters face is identifying the hidden ‘fire pockets’ and bringing them under control, after which it can be said that the situation is entirely under control. After the work of identifying and neutralising the hidden ‘fire pockets’ is completed, the cooling process will commence.
Local people raised questions about the administration
The massive fire has caused considerable losses to the people. Local people alleged that if the fire engines had reached the spot on time, the fire would not have taken such a terrible form. However, State Fire Services Minister Sujit Bose, who arrived at the scene in the morning, has denied the allegations.
