Iran’s Khamenei faces growing trouble as protesters clash with security forces

Iran Protests: The situation in Iran is once again spiraling out of control. People have taken to the streets in revolt against the hardline regime. Clashes have erupted between protesters and security forces. Several parts of the country have witnessed clashes between demonstrators and security personnel. Seven people have lost their lives in the past two days. People are taking to the streets in cities across the country.

In Asadabad, Hamadan, protesters claim to have seized a base belonging to the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC),the military force loyal to Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. The protests are fueled by the dire state of the Iranian economy. Many protesters were heard chanting slogans against the country’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
