New Delhi: For several days, weather conditions have remained volatile, leading to spells of rain in some areas and storms in others. In the mountainous regions, temperatures continue to remain low due to ongoing snowfall. Snowfall has been recorded in the hilly areas of Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Kashmir. In several parts of the northeastern states, late-night rainfall has led to a drop in temperature levels.
Hailstorms have also been witnessed at various locations across Central Maharashtra and South-Central Madhya Pradesh. In several regions of Madhya Pradesh, winds are expected to blow at 50 to 80 kilometres per hour. Weather conditions are also likely to change across Delhi, the Delhi-NCR region, and other parts of North India. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD),there is a possibility of rainfall in various parts of the country.

In the national capital, Delhi, the sky is expected to remain partially cloudy tomorrow morning. By afternoon, it is anticipated to become completely overcast. Between the afternoon and evening hours, spells of drizzle or very light rainfall may occur. Thunderstorms accompanied by strong winds blowing at speeds of 20 to 30 km per hour are also expected. Furthermore, winds are likely to blow from the southwest during the afternoon.

According to the Meteorological Department, under the influence of a Western Disturbance, light to moderate rainfall may be recorded at several locations across Rajasthan over the 24 hours leading up to Thursday morning. According to the Jaipur Meteorological Centre, the highest rainfall—12 millimetres—was recorded in Deogarh (Rajsamand) during this period. During this same timeframe, the highest maximum temperature (38.6°C) was recorded in Chittorgarh, while the lowest minimum temperature (18.2°C) was recorded in Alwar.

Weather Outlook for the Hills
Weather activity is expected to remain quite vigorous in the mountainous regions over the coming days. Widespread light to moderate rainfall is likely across Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand between April 3 and April 6. Additionally, spells of snowfall may be witnessed in the higher-altitude areas.
Thunderstorms and strong winds, blowing at speeds of 40 to 50 km/h, are expected in these regions. Strong gales are also anticipated in these areas on April 3 and 4. Wind speeds are likely to reach 50 to 60 km/h, with gusts potentially reaching up to 70 km/h.
There is also a possibility of hailstorms at isolated places in Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand, as well as heavy rainfall in certain pockets of the Kashmir Valley. A new Western Disturbance is expected to become active on April 7 and 8.
Rain Alert for Jharkhand
According to the IMD (India Meteorological Department),thunderstorms accompanied by rain and strong winds are expected across 14 districts of Jharkhand starting April 4. An alert has also been issued regarding the possibility of hailstorms in certain districts on April 5.
Heavy rainfall—accompanied by thunder, lightning, and hailstorms—is likely in the northwestern and central parts of Jharkhand on April 4 and 5. Issuing an alert, the department stated that the districts likely to be affected by the storm are Garhwa, Palamu, Chatra, Latehar, Lohardaga, Hazaribagh, Koderma, Ramgarh, Ranchi, Khunti, Giridih, Dhanbad, Bokaro, and Gumla.
