An IndiGo flight from Chennai to Madurai suddenly developed a technical fault, after which the plane had to return to Chennai. The incident happened in the air and luckily all 68 passengers returned safely due to the pilot’s presence of mind.
What happened?
According to airport officials, the IndiGo flight took off from Chennai and was headed to Madurai. About half an hour after the flight, the pilot felt something was wrong with the plane. Without wasting time, the pilot immediately returned to Chennai and asked for permission for an emergency landing.
All passengers safe
Officials said that there were about 68 passengers on board the plane. Due to the presence of mind of the pilot and the quick cooperation of the Air Traffic Control (ATC), the plane landed safely at Chennai Airport. All the passengers were evacuated from the plane and they are completely safe.
