New Delhi: The central government is going to present such a bill in the Lok Sabha today, which will increase the problems of the PM, CM or other leaders. Three bills will be presented, whose purpose is to remove the PM, Union Minister and CM, Ministers from their posts if they are arrested or taken into custody in serious criminal cases.

If a report is to be believed, a senior government official has shared this information. However, at present, the government does not have any such provision that leaders can be vacated from their posts in case of judicial custody. Now they can be removed after a month. A lot of commotion can be seen between the government and the opposition regarding this bill.

Modi government is going to present a bill on Wednesday, i.e. today, which will tighten the noose on the leaders. If the government passes the bill, then the PM, C, M, and other leaders arrested or taken into custody in serious criminal cases will be removed from their posts. With the aim of removing these peculiarities, the government is going to present three bills.

The bills that the central government will introduce on Wednesday include the Union Territory Government (Amendment) Bill 2025, the Constitution (One Hundred and Thirtieth Amendment) Bill 2025 and the Jammu and Kashmir Reorganisation (Amendment) Bill 2025. Union Home Minister Amit Shah is going to introduce these three bills in the Lok Sabha to send them to the Joint Committee of Parliament.

Know what is the Union Territory Amendment Bill

According to the statement of reasons for the objectives of the Union Territory 2025, there is no such provision in the Union Territories Act, 1963. This will enable the removal of the CM or the minister in the event of arrest and detention on serious criminal charges. Therefore, it is special to amend Section 45 of this law and make legal provision for such a situation.

This bill seeks to achieve the above objectives. Along with this, the objectives of the 130th Amendment of the Constitution Bill 2025 state that there is no such provision in the Constitution that a minister can be removed in the event of arrest and detention on serious criminal charges.
