According to the Meteorological Department, heavy rain is expected in Kaushambi, Prayagraj, Fatehpur, Pratapgarh, Sonbhadra, Mirzapur, and Chandauli. There is also a possibility of thunderstorms and storms in this area. A heavy rain alert has been issued in Varanasi, Deoria, Gorakhpur, Sant Kabir Nagar, Basti, Maharajganj, Siddharthnagar and Gonda. Apart from these, rain accompanied by thunderstorms can be seen in Balrampur, Shravasti, Bahraich, Lakhimpur Kheri, Sitapur, and Hardoi. IMD has issued a rain alert for Farrukhabad, Kannauj, Kanpur Dehat, Kanpur Nagar, Unnao and Lucknow.

How will the weather be in Rajasthan?

IMD has predicted rainfall in many areas of Rajasthan due to the activation of a Western Disturbance. There is a possibility of a decrease in temperature. Due to the activation of a new Western Disturbance, rain with thunderstorms can occur in all areas of the Jodhpur, Bikaner, Ajmer, and Jaipur divisions on May 1. Winds can blow here at a speed of 40 to 50 kilometres per hour.

Rain alert in these states

According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of rain in Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Delhi-NCR, Rajasthan, and Haryana-Punjab until May 3. There is also a possibility of thunderstorms here. There may be rain in Manipur, Sikkim, Mizoram and Tripura in the Northeast. There is a possibility of adverse weather conditions in Arunachal Pradesh, Puducherry, Mizoram, and Nagaland.
