Heavy rain alert in these states
The Meteorological Department has issued a rain warning in many areas of the country. According to the IMD, an alert has been issued for heavy rain accompanied by thunder in Kerala, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, and Goa, where people have been advised to take precautions. Apart from these, heavy rain warnings have been issued in Telangana, Odisha and Andhra Pradesh.
Heavy rain warnings in northeastern states as well
According to the IMD, heavy rain alerts have been issued in Sikkim, Puducherry and Arunachal Pradesh along with thunderstorms. Apart from these, heavy rain alerts have been issued in Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura and Nagaland.
A heat wave will blow here.
According to the Meteorological Department, North West India is experiencing severe heat at this time. A heat wave is likely to affect Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, North Madhya Pradesh, and Uttar Pradesh over the next 3-4 days. Punjab, Haryana and Rajasthan will remain on red alert for the next three days.
Delhi-NCR is on a red alert on Wednesday and Thursday, after which an orange alert will be in effect on June 13. Due to the impact of the western disturbance, there may be some relief after light rain and thunderstorms from the night of the 13th.
