The drains of the cities are also proving to be unsuccessful in draining out the rainwater.
The reason for this is excessive rain. Due to heavy rains in many parts of Uttar Pradesh late at night, the roads of towns, villages and cities were submerged. Due to heavy rain and cold wind, the temperature level also dropped significantly, due to people felt cold. According to the Indian Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of heavy rain with thunder and lightning in 49 districts of UP.

According to the Indian Meteorological Department, Saharanpur, Shamli, Muzaffarnagar, and Aligarh may witness heavy rains with thunder and lightning. Apart from these, heavy rains may occur in Mathura and Hathras. IMD has predicted heavy rains in Banda, Chitrakoot, Kaushambi, Prayagraj, Fatehpur, Pratapgarh and Sonbhadra.
Heavy rains may occur in Mirzapur, Chandauli, Sant Ravidas Nagar, Basti, Gonda and Balrampur. According to the Meteorological Department, heavy rains may continue in Shravasti, Bahraich, Lakhimpur Kheri, Sitapur, Hardoi and Farrukhabad. IMD has also issued a heavy rain alert in Kannauj, Kanpur Dehat, Kanpur Nagar, Unnao, Rae Bareli, Baghpat and Meerut.

The Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rains in Ghaziabad, Hapur, Gautam Buddha Nagar, Bulandshahr and Kasganj. IMD has predicted heavy rains in Etah, Agra, Firozabad, Mainpuri, Etawah, Auraiya and Bijnor. The Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rains in all areas of Amroha, Pilibhit, Shahjahanpur, Sambhaland Baand daun.

According to the Indian Meteorological Department, heavy rains may continue in Banda, Chitrakoot, Kaushambi, Prayagraj, Fatehpur, Pratapgarh, Sonbhadra and Mirzapur. IMD has also issued an alert of heavy rains in Chandauli, Varanasi, Sant Ravidas Nagar, Jaunpur, Ghazipur, Azamgarh and Mau.
Apart from these, heavy rains may also occur in Deoria, Gorakhpur, Sant Kabir Nagar, Basti, Gonda and Balrampur. Heavy rains may occur in Shravasti, Bahraich, Lakhimpur Kheri, Sitapur, Hardoi and Farrukhabad. Heavy rains may occur in Kannauj, Kanpur Dehat, Kanpur Nagar, Unnao, Lucknow, Barabanki, Rae Bareli and Amethi.
