UP Monsoon Alert: The monsoon has become active in Uttar Pradesh, along with many parts of the country, resulting in heavy rainfall in several areas. Due to the rain, the temperature has dropped, and people have got relief from the heat. It entered UP via Sonbhadra on June 18, after which it has now moved forward.

Heavy rain alert in these districts

According to the Indian Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of rain in all the districts of UP on Friday. In these areas, an alert has been issued for heavy rain with thunder in Banda, Chitrakoot, Kaushambi, Prayagraj, Fatehpur, and Sonbhadra. Apart from these, a warning for heavy rain has been issued in Mirzapur, Sant Ravidas Nagar, Pratapgarh, Chandauli, and Varanasi.

A warning of heavy rain with thunder has been issued in Jaunpur, Ghazipur, Azamgarh, Mau, Ballia, Kannauj, Kanpur Dehat and Kanpur Nagar. A warning of heavy rain has also been issued in Unnao, Rae Bareli, Amethi, Sultanpur, Agra and Firozabad.

An alert for heavy rain has been issued for Mainpuri, Etawah, Auraiya, Jalaun, Hamirpur, Mahoba, Jhansi, and Lalitpur. Given the possibility of lightning at many places, caution has also been advised.
