UP Monsoon Alert: More than half of September has passed, which is crucial for weather changes. As September ends, the monsoon departs from many parts of Uttar Pradesh. This appears to be the case this time as well. Late-night rain accompanied by thunder and lightning has caused temperatures to drop in various parts of Uttar Pradesh.
Four people have lost their lives due to lightning in the state. The monsoon continues to be active here, resulting in widespread rainfall. Once again, heavy rain could become a disaster for people. According to the Indian Meteorological Department, a heavy rain warning has been issued for 30 districts in Uttar Pradesh. Find out what the weather will be like for each area below.
Heavy rain likely in these districts
According to the IMD, a heavy rain warning has been issued for Pratapgarh, Gonda, Sitapur, Barabanki, and Amethi. In addition, heavy rain is expected in Sultanpur, Ayodhya, Ambedkar Nagar, and surrounding areas. A heavy rain warning has been issued for Banda, Chitrakoot, Kaushambi, Prayagraj, Fatehpur, and Jaunpur.
Gorakhpur, Sant Kabir Nagar, Basti, Kushinagar, Maharajganj, Siddharth Nagar, Balrampur, Shravasti, and Bahraich are likely to experience heavy rain. Lakhimpur Kheri, Hardoi, Farrukhabad, Kannauj, Kanpur Dehat, and Kanpur Nagar are also likely to experience heavy rain. Unnao, Lucknow, Rae Bareli, Mainpuri, and Etawah are also likely to experience heavy rain. Several areas, including Auraiya, Pilibhit, and Shahjahanpur, are also likely to experience rain.
How much rain was recorded where
Several districts in Uttar Pradesh experienced severe rains yesterday, worsening the situation. Torrential rains in Ambedkar Nagar made life difficult for residents. Akbarpur recorded 94 mm of rain. Water entered shops in the old city and markets, causing significant losses for traders.
Aliganj in Lucknow recorded 88 mm of rain. Rivers in eastern Uttar Pradesh are flowing close to the danger mark. The Saryu River in Ayodhya is flowing well above the danger mark. The Rapti River in Gorakhpur is also flowing above the danger mark.
