New Delhi: On the occasion of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday, several state governments have announced new gifts for the people. In this regard, the Uttar Pradesh government has also opened its coffers for women. CM Yogi Adityanath inaugurated a state-level program at the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Scientific Convention Center, KGMU, in Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh.
During this program, CM Yogi Adityanath announced that Anganwadi workers will be given smartphones and their honorarium will also be increased. Furthermore, health camps have been launched in all 75 districts of Uttar Pradesh as part of this campaign. The health of women and children is being monitored in these camps.

Government advancing the mission of women empowerment – Yogi
Referring to the women empowerment initiatives, CM Yogi Adityanath said that several schemes are being implemented under PM Modi’s leadership. Decisions like Beti Bachao Beti Padhao, Matru Vandana, Kanya Sumangala, and Nari Shakti Vandan Act are being taken. India is welcoming such schemes.
Yogi said that for the past eight years, the UP government has provided free education for girls and a package of Rs. 25,000 under the Kanya Sumangala Yojana. Additionally, financial assistance of Rs. 1 lakh will be provided for the marriage of every girl child under the mass marriage scheme. Yogi Adityanath said that with the help of 1.89 lakh Anganwadi centres and 10 lakh women self-help groups, work has been done to make 1 crore women self-reliant.
