Heavy rain alert for 5 days
According to the Indian Meteorological Department, a heavy rain alert has been issued in all the districts of eastern and western Uttar Pradesh. There is a possibility of heavy rain with thundering clouds in many areas here. IMD has predicted heavy rains in Gonda, Balrampur, Shravasti, Ambedkar Nagar and Ghazipur.

According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of heavy rains continuing in Azamgarh, Mau, Ballia, Deoria, Gorakhpur and Sant Kabir Nagar. Apart from these, a heavy rain warning has been issued in Basti, Kushinagar, Maharajganj, Siddharth Nagar, Amethi, Sultanpur and Ayodhya. Heavy rains are expected in Prayagraj, Pratapgarh, Sonbhadra, Mirzapur and Chandauli. At the same time, torrential rains are expected in Varanasi, Bhadohi, and Jaunpur.
Heavy rain warning in western UP
According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of heavy rains in Saharanpur, Bijnor, Lakhimpur Kheri, Sitapur, Barabanki and Moradabad. IMD has issued an alert of heavy rains in the adjoining areas of Rampur, Bareilly, Pilibhit, and Shahjahanpur. People here have been asked to be cautious and not to go out.
