Deoghar Road Accident – 18 Kanwariyas Dead, Over 20 Injured in Tragic Crash During Shravan Mela

Deoghar Road Accident:- Information about a significant incident is coming from Deoghar in Jharkhand during the ongoing Kavad Yatra at Baba Baidyanath Dham. Many Kanwariyas were caught in this horrific accident. At least 18 Kanwariyas are reported to have died in the road accident. Whereas, according to initial information, more than 20 passengers are seriously injured. A police officer stated that the accident occurred near the Jamunia forest in the Mohanpur police station area at approximately 4:30 am. This tragic accident happened after a collision between a bus full of Kanwariyas and a vehicle carrying gas cylinders. After this accident, there is screaming at the spot. The death toll is also expected to increase.

This heart-wrenching accident occurred when devotees were en route to Baba Baidyanath Dham, accompanied by the chants of ‘Bol Bam’. At present, the police is investigating the matter and trying to find out the cause of the accident.

Relief and rescue work continues.

As soon as the information of the incident was received, the local administration, police and ambulance teams immediately reached the spot and started relief and rescue work. On the other hand, all the injured have been admitted to private hospitals in Deoghar, where they are undergoing treatment.

Local MP Nishikant Dubey expressed deep grief over this incident and wrote – ’18 devotees have died due to a bus and truck accident during the Kanwar Yatra in the month of Shravan in Deoghar, my Lok Sabha. May Baba Baidyanath Ji give strength to their families to bear the grief.’
