New Delhi: The results of the voting for the Vice Presidential election have come. NDA candidate CP Radhakrishnan has achieved great success and has now become the 17th President of the country. NDA candidate CP Radhakrishnan got 452 votes, while his rival, India Alliance candidate B Sudarshan Redd, had to face defeat.

B Sudarshan Reddy could get only 300 votes. According to this, NDA has almost two-thirds majority. BJP claimed that 14 MPs have also cross-voted.

The opposition also gave a tough challenge.

The NDA candidate may have won the Vice Presidential election, but the opposition alliance has also performed brilliantly. 392 votes were needed to win in this election, which the NDA candidate easily achieved. 767 MPs have cast their votes in today’s election. Out of this, 15 votes were declared invalid.

A total of 782 MPs had the right to vote in this election. The 14 votes received from opposition political parties are a big success for the NDA. This election was held after Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar resigned in July due to health reasons.
