Indian Railway Update: The Vande Bharat Sleeper Express train may be launched this month, January. The railways have already finalised the routes for this, and preparations are underway at the departmental level. Meanwhile, Indians have received another piece of good news for the new year. The Indian government has announced the launch date of the bullet train, which will significantly reduce travel time for long-distance journeys.
The dream of travelling longer distances in less time will soon become a reality. The bullet train will start running on the tracks from August 15, 2027, and preparations are underway. In the first phase, the train will operate on a 100-kilometre stretch between Surat and Vapi. This will make travel safer and easier for Indians, and will also be a source of national pride.

Railway Minister Shares Important Information
A very special moment is approaching for Indians who dream of travelling on a bullet train. Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw has shared important information. He said that the bullet train will be operational from December 15, 2027, and construction work is progressing rapidly. Plans are also underway to run the country’s first bullet train between Ahmedabad and Mumbai.
After the project is completed, the 508 km journey between the two metropolitan cities can be easily completed in two hours and 17 minutes. Approximately 55 per cent of the bullet train project has already been completed. Last November, Prime Minister Narendra Modi also reviewed the project in Surat.

Of the entire route, 35kilometresrs fall within Gujarat and Dadra and Nagar Haveli, while 156 kilometres are in Maharashtra. The National High-Speed Rail Corporation Limited project will include a total of 12 stations.
Important Details
The bullet train has some features that will attract you. The maximum speed of this train will be up to 320 kilometres per hour. In 2027, the first phase will cover 100 kilometres between Surat and Vapi.
