Hero Splendour E85: Amidst rising petrol prices, Hero MotoCorp has launched bikes capable of running on fuel with high ethanol blends in addition to standard petrol. Hero MotoCorp’s Splendor+ E85 and HF Deluxe E85 flex-fuel bikes are receiving a positive public response. Both bikes can operate on ethanol-blended fuel ranging from E20 to E85. Although these models haven’t been on the market long, demand is rising rapidly. Let’s take a look at what makes them special.

Hero Splendor E85: 10,000 Bookings

Hero MotoCorp launched the E85-compatible versions of its Splendor+ and HF Deluxe flex-fuel motorcycles. According to the company, combined bookings for these two models have reached approximately 10,000 units. The company has also received over 10,000 inquiries. These bikes are ideal for those who prioritise fuel efficiency, low running costs, and a reliable engine.

What is E85 Fuel?

E85 is a fuel blend consisting of approximately 85% ethanol and the remainder petrol. Both of Hero’s motorcycles are compatible with ethanol-blended fuel ranging from E20 to E85.

Currently, E20 petrol—a 20% ethanol blend—is widely available in India; however, these bikes will remain compatible even when E85 becomes available. With this future requirement in mind, Hero has incorporated specific hardware and software updates into both 100cc bikes.

97.2cc Engine

The Hero Splendor+ E85 and HF Deluxe E85 are equipped with a 97.2cc single-cylinder engine. On E85, this engine produces a maximum power of 6.3 kW and a peak torque of 8.3 Nm.

To make the engine compatible with E85, the fuel system and ECU calibration have been modified. Both bikes feature a new fuel pump, a secondary fuel filter, and a calibrated ECU map.

Hero Splendour E85 Price

Regarding pricing, the Hero Splendor+ Flex Fuel is priced between approximately ₹82,710 and ₹82,810, while the HF Deluxe Flex Fuel is priced at ₹72,792. Both bikes were launched on June 3, 2026.

i3S and New Digital Features

In addition to Flex Fuel technology, Hero has equipped these bikes with several new features. These include i3S start-stop technology, a new digi-analogue instrument cluster, a side-stand engine cut-off, and USB charging.
