Google Pixel 11 series launch confirmed – Made by Google event to be held on August 12

Google has officially confirmed that the Made by Google Event 2026.12 will be held on August 6, 2026, at 6 pm (Eastern Time) in New York City. The event will take place at 3:30 am IST on August 13, 2026. The company has talked about the arrival of the "next generation of Pixel" in its invitation, which also shows a teaser of a smartphone with a gold finish.

The event will be live streamed on Google's official YouTube channel and Google Store website. Pre-orders are expected to begin on launch day itself and shipping will begin a week later on August 20.

Apart from the Pixel 11 series, the event will also see the launch of the Pixel Watch 5 and possibly the new Pixel Buds Pro.

This time, Google is expected to introduce four different models in its Pixel 11 series. Like last time, this time too, the Pro, Pro XL and Foldable variants will come with the standard model.

According to reports, all the models will get Google's new Tensor G6 processor, which will be built on TSMC's 2nm process. This chipset promises better performance, thermal efficiency, and battery life than the previous generation.

The special thing is that this time Google can use the MediaTek M90 modem instead of Samsung's modem. The phone also comes with Titan M3 security chip. The leaks also state that the 128GB storage option might be discontinued in the Pixel 11 series and all models will start with 256GB storage. The Pro models also have the option of 1TB storage.

The standard Google Pixel 11 is expected to get a 6.3 -inch 120Hz OLED display with a peak brightness of up to 2,200 nits. The phone could be powered by the Tensor G6 processor paired with 8GB or 12GB of RAM and around 5,000mAh battery.

The triple camera setup is likely to include a 50MP primary camera, a 48MP ultra-wide, and a 10.8 MP or 12MP telephoto sensor. For selfies, you can get a 10.5 MP or 12MP front camera.

This phone will run on Android 17 and Google will give software updates for a long time. In terms of colour options, the Pixel 11 Lite is expected to come in Sterling, Midnight Haze, Fuchsia, and Moss colours.

The Pixel 11 Pro will also come with a 6.3 -inch display, but it will be an LTPO OLED panel that will support adaptive refresh rates from 1Hz to 120Hz. Its peak brightness can be up to 2,450 nits.

The phone is expected to get a Tensor G6 chipset, 12GB or 16GB of RAM, and a better cooling system. The camera setup could include a 50MP main camera, a 48MP or 50MP ultra-wide camera, and a 48MP periscope telephoto camera. For selfies, there's a 42MP front camera.

The phone comes with new AI camera features, Google AI tools like Magic Editor, Video Enhance, and Live Translate. Notably, this time the Pixel 11 Pro will not get IR face unlock as the technology is not yet ready for commercial launch.

The Pixel 11 Pro XL will be the largest model in the series, with a 6.8 -inch LTPO OLED display. It will come with QHD + resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate.

In terms of processor and RAM, it will be the same as the Pixel 11 Pro - Tensor G6 and 16GB RAM. However, it could get a bigger battery (around 5,200mAh), which will give a longer screen on time.

The camera setup could be similar to the Pixel 11 Pro, but is expected to get a better cooling system due to the larger form factor. Colour options for the Pro models could include Light Fog, Midnight Haze, Dune, and Pine Sheen.

The Pixel 11 Pro Fold will be the most expensive and attractive model of this series. According to leaks, its foldable design will be thinner than the previous generation - 10.1 mm when folded and 4.8 mm when opened.

It will get an 8-inch foldable OLED inner display and a 6.3 -inch to 6.4 -inch cover display. The phone will come with Tensor G6 processor, 16GB RAM and storage options ranging from 256GB to 1TB. The camera setup is likely to include a 48MP primary camera, 10.5 MP ultra-wide and 10.8 MP telephoto lens (5x optical zoom).

The battery is expected to be around 4,800mAh. Interestingly, the thermometer sensor can be removed from this model and in its place, the RGB LED array (Pixel Glow) can be given in the camera bar, which will light up for notifications like the Glyph interface of the Nothing phone. Google could focus on multitasking, split-screen, and AI-based foldable features in this model.

There have been several leaks regarding the pricing of the Google Pixel 11 series. However, all these prices are approximate and there is no official confirmation from the company. The starting price of Pixel 11 in the Indian market could be between ₹79,990 to ₹85,000.

The Pixel 11 Pro could start at ₹1,03,999, while the Pixel 11 Pro XL could be priced between ₹1,19,999 and ₹1,36,999. The Pixel 11 Pro Fold will be the most expensive, which could be priced between ₹1,59,999 and ₹1,81,999.

Keep in mind that due to the lack of a memory chip and 256GB of base storage, prices may increase this time. The Pixel 11 series could be around ₹10,000 to ₹15,000 more expensive than the previous generation.

Now the question is which of these four models is right for you? All depends on your needs and budget. If you want a good flagship phone, but the budget is a bit limited, then the Pixel 11 is the best option for you, as it will also get the Tensor G6, a good camera and a strong battery.
