24 Carat Gold Rate
According to a report by the Indian Bullion Jewellers Association on Thursday, the price of 24-carat gold remained at Rs 140,022 per 10 grams. Earlier, on June 22, the price of 24-carat gold was recorded at Rs 146,664 per 10 grams. Since then, the price of gold has fallen to Rs 6,662 per piece as of Thursday. Prices were not released on Friday due to the Muharram holiday. In addition, gold rates are not released due to the weekly holidays on Saturday and Sunday.
On Monday, June 22, the silver rate was recorded at Rs 237799 per kg. The price fell to Rs 215,485 per kg on Thursday. This means that prices have fallen by Rs 22314 per kg.
Why are gold prices falling
There are two major reasons behind the decline in gold prices at present. The first reason is the strong position of the US dollar. Investors seem to be turning to the dollar for higher returns instead of gold. On the other hand, gold prices have also declined amid fears of a Federal Reserve interest rate hike.
