Gold Price Today (17 July 2026): Gold and silver prices are fluctuating; rates are alternately rising and falling. On July 17, gold prices fell as soon as the market opened on the Multi-Commodity Exchange (MCX). Gold fell by 1.16%—a decrease of ₹1,641—to reach ₹1,40,209 per 10 grams. It had closed at ₹1,41,850 per 10 grams on the previous trading day. By 10:30 AM, a further decline was observed, with the price reaching ₹1,40,070 per 10 grams.

According to the India Bullion and Jewellers Association (IBJA), the price of 24-carat gold was recorded at ₹1,41,679 per 10 grams at the close of the market on Thursday evening. Silver Price Today (MCX)

In early trading today on the MCX, the price of silver fell by 0.78% to ₹2,14,322 per kilogram. It had closed at ₹2,16,013 per kilogram in the previous trading session. This means the price of silver has fallen by only ₹1,691.
