Chocolate Modak Recipe for Ganesh Chaturthi 2026 – There is a lot of waiting for Bappa’s arrival among everyone. Everyone is busy decorating and preparing to welcome them home. Everyone knows that Ganesh Chaturthi starts on 14th September. For this, there is a lot of enthusiasm among the people; in such a situation, today we will tell you a tasty and chocolatey recipe for Bappa’s beloved Bhog Modak. By making it, you can get the blessings of Bappa, and along with this, Lord Ganesha felt that he would like this offering very much. So what are you waiting for? Make chocolate modak for Bappa in the name of Shri Ganesh with the ingredients and method given below.

Essential ingredients for making chocolate modak

2 cups dark or milk chocolate

1/2 cup condensed milk

1 cup coconut flakes

3-4 grated almonds

3-4 grated cashews

2-3 grated pistachios

1/2 tsp cardamom powder

1 tsp ghee

Sugar or sugar to taste (optional)

Make chocolatey modak like this and offer it to Lord Ganesha.

Step 1: Roast the coconut – First of all, place a non-stick pan on the gas and let it heat well. After this, add 1 cup of coconut shavings to it. Fry it on a low flame for 2-3 minutes while stirring continuously. When the coconut starts giving off a slight aroma and turns slightly golden, take it out and keep it in a separate vessel.

Step 2: Melt the Chocolate (Double Boiler Wonders) – Now it’s chocolate’s turn. To melt it, we will use the ‘double boiler’ method. For this, pour water into a vessel and put it on the gas. Now place a steel bowl on top of that vessel (take care that the bottom of the bowl does not touch the water). Add chocolate pieces into it and let it melt slowly. Here’s a pro tip: While melting the chocolate, do not let even a drop of water go into it, otherwise, the chocolate may spoil. If you have an oven, you can use that also.

Step 3: Prepare the Mixture – When the chocolate is completely melted and becomes smooth, add condensed milk to it and mix well. After mixing, turn off the gas. Now add roasted coconut, grated almonds, cashews and pistachios to this melted chocolate. Also, add half a teaspoon of cardamom powder. Mix everything well with the help of a spatula. If you like mild sweetness, you can also add sugar or sugar.

Now keep one thing in mind: the consistency of the mixture should be like flour. If the mixture is too thin, you can add a little more coconut flakes so that it takes the shape of the modak.

Step 4: Shape the modaks

Now take the modak mould and grease it well by applying ghee inside it. With this, the modak will come out easily. Now take a small ball of the mixture and fill it inside the mould by pressing it. Similarly, prepare all the modaks and take them out from the mould one by one and keep them on a plate.
