Even before the launch, Vivo Product Manager Han Boxiao shared some important camera-related details on Weibo, China’s leading social networking platform. His expose has set the tech experts as well as professional photographers, abuzz with excitement.

Full-Focus Triple-Camera System with Optical Image Stabilization

One of the most significant improvements in the X200 Ultra is its full-focus triple-camera setup, and it is also the first phone to offer Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) on all three cameras. The feature will allow users to take stable and clear photos regardless of the focal length, whether the wide, ultra-wide, or telephoto lens.

And yet another stunner is that the phone can record 4K 120fps video, enabling users to take ultra-smooth and super-detailed slow-motion videos. This is usually a feature on professional cameras, so the X200 Ultra is essentially an editing machine for film directors. The phone will also support 4K 10-bit true Log video recording, supporting wider dynamic range and higher color accuracy, which will make post-editing even more precise and film-like.

Camera Samples Demonstrate X200 Ultra’s Capacious Camera Capabilities

To demonstrate the X200 Ultra’s feature-rich camera capabilities, Vivo unveiled camera samples, which emphasized the phone’s capacity to take excellent images with high details and color accuracy.

Big 1/1.28-inch sensor, complemented by Zeiss Ultra-level optical image stabilization, guarantees that even night-time pictures are noiseless and crisp. The samples reflect what the phone is capable of doing in the area of photographing landscapes, night scenes, and high-contrast lighting, and it is quite clear that X200 Ultra has been aimed at professional photographers.

X200 Ultra Camera Features (Rumored)

Even though Vivo has not announced all the features officially, reports indicate that the X200 Ultra will feature:

  • 50MP Sony LYT-818 primary sensor to take highly detailed, high-resolution images.
  • 50MP LYT-818 ultra-wide lens to take expansive shots.
  • 200MP Samsung HP9 periscope telephoto lens with hyper-zooming.

The camera is also claimed to be driven by VS1 pre-processing and V3+ post-processing chips, which will further improve image processing, reduce noise, and improve color accuracy, making each photo look more professional and well-made.

New Shutter Button for High-Precision Photography

One other characteristic of the X200 Ultra is that it has a sliding single-use shutter button. In contrast to standard shutter buttons, the re-engineered control allows for quick changing between adjusting zoom, focusing, and setting exposure parameters, enhancing precision during photography.

This aspect is particularly useful for landscape and action photography, where adjustment on the fly can truly make or break the end photograph. By introducing a physical control component, Vivo is making its camera more appealing to photographers and videographers who would like to have that level of control when snapping their photos.

X200 Ultra: Redefining Smartphone Photography

With its groundbreaking camera features, advanced video recording features, and premium hardware specifications, the Vivo X200 Ultra will be a mobile photography pioneer. Surviving the challenges of Samsung, Apple, and Google’s top-of-the-line flagship models, this new device will be the new benchmark for mobile photography and videography.

For creatives, photography enthusiasts, and regular consumers alike, the X200 Ultra has been said to provide uncompromising image performance, rich color, and greater shooting responsiveness. With its scheduled official release time in the offing, the smartphone is already 2025’s most sophisticated camera phone.
