Premium Display With High Refresh Rate
The Sharp Aquos R10 has a 6.5-inch Pro IGZO OLED screen, which provides a resolution of 2340 x 1080 pixels (FHD+). This display carries a 240Hz variable refresh rate, providing super-smooth animations and touch responsiveness, which will delight gamers and power users. It also carries Dolby Vision support and a whopping peak brightness of up to 3000 nits, which makes it one of the brightest screens in its category.
High-Resolution Cameras for Every Angle
The camera performance is yet another area of excellence for the Aquos R10. On the front, there is a 50.3-megapixel selfie shooter for high-quality self-portraits. On the back is a dual 50.3-megapixel sensor setup, one for the main camera and another for ultra-wide-angle shots. This triple 50MP camera setup positions the R10 among the best in mobile photography hardware, offering flexibility and sharpness.
Smooth Software Experience With Long-Term Support
Powered by Android 15 with Sharp’s own UX skin, the Aquos R10 is not merely about hardware. The company has promised to update the device to as many as three major Android OS versions and five years of security patches, which means it’s a sound long-term investment. This amount of software support is usually left for high-end flagships alone, so the R10 finds itself in that high-end league.
Snapdragon Power and Expandable Storage
Behind the scenes, the phone runs on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 processor, accompanied by 12GB of RAM. Buyers can choose between 256GB and 512GB of local storage. Where the R10 stands out is that it has a microSD card slot that accepts cards up to 2TB a feature that is becoming rarer and rarer in new smartphones today, let alone at this price point.
Solid Battery and Tough Construction
The Aquos R10 comes with a 5,000mAh battery and 36W fast charging. It charges completely in about 110 minutes and also adds USB PD 3.0 and wireless charging support. Dual stereo speakers, an in-display fingerprint reader, USB 3.2 Gen 1, and 5G connectivity are the other added features. The phone also features an IP68 rating and MIL-STD-810G certification, protecting water, dust, and shock.
Price and Availability Details
Though the price of the R10 in Japan was not officially announced, buyers need to register with Sharp to purchase it. In Taiwan, the 256GB variant is available for TWD 20,900 ($710 approximately), and the 512GB variant is available for TWD 22,990 ($780 approximately). The phone is also being sold in black, white, and gold colors, and is due to release shortly in Singapore and Indonesia, too.
