Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7: On 25 July 2025, Samsung has launched its latest foldable smartphone and smartwatch series in India. These devices were globally unveiled at the Galaxy Unpacked event on 9 July and are now available for purchase on platforms like Flipkart, Amazon and Samsung.com. This time the company has introduced design, performance and smart AI together – and that too with a premium touch.

A Sleek Revolution: The Galaxy Z Fold 7

The Galaxy Z Fold 7 is the thinnest and lightest foldable phone ever. Its thickness is just 8.9mm when closed and 4.2mm when open. The weight is also just 215 grams – that is, now it has become easy to use and carry.

The phone has an 8-inch wide Dynamic AMOLED 2X inner display and a 6.5-inch cover display on the outside. Its look is inspired by the Galaxy S25 series. The new Armor FlexHinge system makes the screen strong and smooth.

Talking about performance, it has a Galaxy-custom Snapdragon 8 Elite processor. RAM options range from 12GB to 16GB and storage up to 1TB. The camera is its biggest feature – 200MP main camera, 12MP ultrawide and 10MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom are also present. One UI 8 and Galaxy AI make it smarter.

In the review, it has been called Samsung’s most refined foldable. The design is light, and the experience is also quite smooth. Yes, the lack of S Pen and a bit less battery life have been reported.

Compact Elegance: The Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Z Flip 7 FE

The Galaxy Z Flip 7 is now thinner and lighter than before. It is 6.5mm thick when open and 13.7mm thick when folded. Its 4.1-inch cover screen now goes around the camera so that a lot can be done without opening it.

The phone has a 50MP camera and the new Exynos 2500 processor. It gives a balance of style and performance. For those who want a flip phone on a low budget, there is the Z Flip 7 Fan Edition – which is almost the same but slightly cheaper.

The hinge design and display of the Flip 7 are getting a lot of praise. However, some reviews have described the Motorola Razr Ultra as slightly better in camera and heat control.
