BPSSC SI Result 2026 Announced: The preliminary examination results have been released for candidates who participated in the Bihar Police Sub-Inspector recruitment preliminary exam. The results have been announced as a PDF on the official website, bpssc.bihar.gov.in. Candidates can immediately check their results using their roll numbers by clicking on the direct link provided on the official website.
This recruitment process is being conducted against a total of 1,799 vacancies under Advertisement No. 05/2025, issued by the Commission. Candidates can check their results via the official BPSSC website: bpssc.bihar.gov.in. The Bihar Police Sub-ordinate Services Commission has officially released the results for the preliminary examination.
The preliminary examination was conducted in two shifts on January 18 and January 21, 2026, for a total of 1,036,702 candidates who had applied.
7.26 Lakh Candidates Appeared for the Exam
A total of 726,231 candidates appeared for the preliminary written examination. During the evaluation process, 29,272 candidates were declared disqualified. The primary reasons for disqualification included malpractice (14 cases), entering an incorrect roll number on the OMR sheet (14,591 cases), entering an incorrect question booklet number (9,992 cases), and failure to affix a signature.

Cut-off and Basis of Selection
In accordance with the recruitment regulations, candidates numbering 20 times the total number of vacancies have been selected for the Main Examination. Since the examination was conducted across multiple sessions, the evaluation of marks was based on ‘normalised’ scores derived using the Equi-percentile method. A total of 448,899 candidates have qualified for the Main Examination. General (Male): 130.67 (more than 65.3%)
