Poco F7 Ultra: Poco users in India can expect an interesting surprise since two new smartphones may arrive in the market very soon. One of these devices has been officially confirmed to be launched in India, and there’s a strong indication of flagship-grade features and aesthetics. Anticipation is mounting, and some recent action on certification websites makes it seem like Poco is planning something significant in the Indian smartphone market.
Poco F7 Ultra India Launch Teased
Poco India’s head, Himanshu Tandon, recently shared a teaser image on X with himself holding a Poco F7 Ultra promotional banner. The caption “Knock Knock!! ” and the phrase “Ultravision sees everything” written on the banner heavily suggest the launch of this powerhouse phone soon. The global version of the Poco F7 Ultra was previously released in certain markets in tandem with the Poco F7 Pro.
Launch
Although Poco F7 Pro may not launch in India yet, the Ultra variant seems set to enter. The Indian variant will likely have features identical to its international variant. These are a Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, a 6.67-inch WQHD+ AMOLED screen with 120Hz refresh rate, and a 5,300mAh battery with 120W wired and 50W wireless charging support.
Other major highlights are Android 15-based HyperOS 2, a 32MP front camera, a 50MP triple rear camera with telephoto support, and an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor. It also has an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance.
Cost
In the US, Poco F7 Ultra costs $599 (approximately ₹51,000) for the 12GB+256GB variant and $649 (approximately ₹55,000) for the 16GB+512GB variant.
Poco F7 Base Variant Spotted on BIS
In addition to the Ultra model, the lower-end variant of Poco F7 can also be released in India in the near future. A phone with the model number 25053PC47I was just seen on the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) website. The listing makes it look like Poco might release this phone in May.
Expected specifications include a Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 processor, a 1.5K screen, and a high-end build with a metal middle frame and glass back. The phone could also come with a 7,550mAh battery that supports 90W wired charging. While Poco hasn’t officially announced the release date, BIS certification suggests that it can’t be too far away.
Expected Color
Variants and Security Features Poco F7 Ultra is set to come in striking color variants like Black and Yellow, as in the global launch. Security features like an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint reader will provide increased security, giving the device a professional look that makes it appropriate for work as well as personal use.
