Following the international launch a month ago, the company now officially teased the phone in India. Official Tease Tantalizes at Inevitable Launch
The teaser was by Poco India head Himanshu Tandon himself, and he uploaded a photo holding the Poco F7 Ultra in front of a promotional poster. The poster said, “Ultravision sees it all,” highlighting the premium camera features of the phone. The photo, with a cryptic “Knock Knock!” caption, indicates that the launch is imminent.
Interestingly, Tandon had conducted a poll recently among X of fans regarding whether Poco will launch the F7 Pro or the F7 Ultra in India. This post seems to confirm that the Ultra is arriving, possibly bypassing the Pro model for India.
Global Specifications Most Likely to be Carried Over
The Indian version of Poco F7 Ultra should be a carbon copy of the global variant in all other ways except for a few. It comes with Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC, a 5,300mAh battery that supports 120W wired and 50W wireless charging, and a 6.67-inch WQHD+ AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate. The phone operates on Android 15-based HyperOS 2 skin and has IP68-rated dust and water resistance, which offers protection for day-to-day usage.
The camera features are well-calibrated too. The phone comes with a 32MP front camera and a 50MP triple-camera setup at the back with a telephoto lens, providing clear photography and varied shooting modes.
Pricing and Variants in the Global Market
In other parts of the world, Poco F7 Ultra comes in Yellow and Black shades. The device is priced at $599 (Rs. 51,000 approximately) for the 12GB + 256GB model and $649 (Rs. 55,000 approximately) for the 16GB + 512GB variant. The phone also comes with an in-display ultrasonic fingerprint reader, which also contributes to its high-end feel and look.
Poco F7 May Join the Launch Lineup
Besides the F7 Ultra, Poco can also launch the standard Poco F7 in India. The smartphone was found listed on the BIS website recently with model number 25053PC47I, which hints at a likely May launch. The Poco F7 is said to offer a Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 processor, 1.5K screen, and ginormous 7,550mAh battery with 90W fast charging, making it a strong contender in its category.
