Oppo Reno 14 Series: Oppo has launched its new Reno 14 series in China, and this time the company has not taken any steps lightly. These phones are not limited to just looks or camera features, but they are specially designed for those users who want more power, stamina and performance from their phone. Whether you are broadcasting live video, engaged in long gaming sessions or using the phone for high productivity, both Reno 14 and Reno 14 Pro try to deliver flagship-like experiences in the mid-range segment.
Simple, flat display that will cause less eye fatigue
This time both phones have flat 1.5k AMOLED displays instead of curved screens. The Reno 14 has a 6.59-inch screen while the Pro model has a larger 6.83-inch display. Both have a refresh rate of 120Hz, which makes the screen movement look very smooth and clear. Also, 3840Hz PWM dimming technology has been used, which reduces eye strain even when looking at the phone for a long time. For protection, Oppo has used its special Crystal Shield glass, which makes the screen more durable and scratch-resistant. Touch response is up to 240Hz, which is perfect for gaming and content creation.
Premium camera setup: Ready for all types of photography and videography
Each phone in the Reno 14 series has 50-megapixel cameras, including the main camera, 3.5x periscope telephoto lens (Samsung’s JN5 sensor) and 50MP selfie camera. The Pro model also has a fourth 50MP ultrawide lens, while the ultrawide camera in the base model Reno 14 is just 8MP. Both the front and rear cameras support 4K 60fps video recording, making them great for livestreaming and vlogging. Oppo has also prepared an external active cooler and a 20,000mAh power bank accessory for content creators, which keeps the phone cool and charged during long recordings or gaming. Apart from this, noise reduction, color correction and 30-second gameplay clip capture feature have also been given, which makes these phones very useful for creators.
Battery and charging: Long-lasting power
The Reno 14 has a 6,000mAh battery, while in the Pro model it has been increased to 6,200mAh, which is the largest battery ever in the Reno series. Both phones support 80W SuperVOOC wired charging, while the Reno 14 Pro also has the option of 50W AirVOOC wireless charging. Oppo says that the Reno 14 Pro can livestream for up to five hours or enjoy gaming for up to eight hours on a single charge. This is a big relief for users who want to work without constantly charging their phone.
Better performance with new chipset and improved cooling system
The Reno 14 Pro is powered by the Dimensity 8450 processor, which is not fully documented yet, but it comes with Mali-G720 MC7 GPU and offers better performance than the Dimensity 8350 in the base model Reno 14. Both chips are built on a 4nm process and support up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM along with up to 1TB of UFS 3.1 storage. For cooling, Oppo has used a new “Nano Ice Crystal” heat sink, which is three times more efficient than previous models. This feature prevents the phone from heating up especially during long 4K video recording or gaming sessions and prevents throttling, delivering consistent performance.
The Oppo Reno 14 series is made for people who want a lot from their phone — style, performance, and a reliable battery. The series is designed with live content creators, gamers, and power users in mind, delivering top performance for everyday needs as well as specific tasks.
