OnePlus 13s India Launch: OnePlus is reportedly preparing to launch the OnePlus 13s in India, a compact flagship that’s creating a lot of buzz in tech circles. It’s believed to be a rebranded version of the China-only OnePlus 13T and is expected to fit between the OnePlus 13R and the standard OnePlus 13 in the premium mid-range segment. Leaks suggest it will offer significant upgrades while keeping a sleek design and an attractive price.
Launch Timing and Price
Insider sources say the OnePlus 13s will launch in India around May or June 2025. With an expected price of about ₹50,000, it will sit comfortably between the ₹42,999 OnePlus 13R and the ₹69,999 OnePlus 13. This makes it a strong option for buyers who want flagship features without paying full flagship prices.
Slim Design with a New Shortcut Key
Design leaks reveal a 6.32-inch flat AMOLED screen with a centered punch-hole camera and very slim bezels. The phone will replace the famous Alert Slider with a multifunctional Shortcut Key, allowing quick actions like launching apps or switching profiles. The back will have a clean look with a new dual-camera setup that leans towards simplicity.
Powerful Performance
The OnePlus 13s will likely be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, built on TSMC’s 3nm process, paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage. These specs promise strong performance, putting the phone ahead of many mid-range competitors.
Dual Cameras with Pro-Level Potential
Camera leaks point to a 50MP main sensor with OIS and a 50MP telephoto lens offering 2x optical zoom. The front will have a 16MP selfie camera. While it doesn’t have a triple-camera setup, these two lenses could deliver great results, especially with OnePlus’s well-known image processing.
Long-Lasting Battery
One standout feature is the rumored 6,260mAh silicon-carbon battery, which OnePlus says offers better energy density than regular lithium-ion batteries. It’s expected to support 80W SuperVOOC wired charging, though wireless charging might be missing to keep the phone slim.
Latest Software and Strong Support
The phone is expected to come with OxygenOS 15 based on Android 15 right out of the box. OnePlus reportedly promises four years of major Android updates and six years of security patches. Additional premium features include an IP65 rating and an in-display fingerprint sensor.
A Smart Move or Just Another Lite Flagship?
So far, the OnePlus 13s looks like a smart choice for those wanting flagship-level hardware in a smaller, more affordable package. While it remains to be seen how it compares to rivals from Samsung, iQOO, and Xiaomi, early signs suggest it could be a standout phone in the latter half of 2025.
