Nothing Phone 3 Launch: UK-based brand Nothing, known for its innovative design and unique interface, is going to launch its much-awaited smartphone Nothing Phone 3 in India and the global market today. The company has described it as the first ever “True Flagship Smartphone”, which not only comes with premium hardware, but will also be more powerful and innovative than the previous two generations in terms of software and design.

Ahead of the launch, Nothing has shared many information related to this phone. From the new Glyph Matrix design to the great camera upgrade, Nothing Phone 3 is set to set a new milestone in its device lineup.

Launch date and how to watch livestream

The official launch of Nothing Phone 3 will take place today, i.e. on July 1, at the company’s headquarters in London. The event will start at 10:30 pm (6 PM BST) Indian time and will be broadcast live on Nothing’s official YouTube channel. The event has been named ‘Nothing Event: Come to Play’, which makes it clear that the company is bringing something revolutionary and playful this time.

Design and Display

The most talked about change in Nothing Phone 3 is its redesigned rear interface. The earlier Glyph Interface will now be replaced by Glyph Matrix, which will come with new patterns and animation effects on the rear panel. The purpose of this design is not only to make the phone stylish, but also to make notifications and interactions more smart and visually engaging.

Talking about the display, the phone will have a 6.7-inch LTPO OLED panel, which will come with 1.5K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. This display will not only give a smooth experience, but will also perform better in terms of power efficiency. With the help of LTPO technology, the refresh rate of the screen can be automatically adjusted as per the need, which will also reduce battery consumption.

Camera setup

The Nothing Phone 3 will have a triple camera setup at the back, which will have a 50MP periscope telephoto lens, which will come with 3x optical zoom. Apart from this, a 50MP main camera and a 50MP ultra-wide lens will be included. This camera setup promises to take low-light photography, detailing and zoom experience to a new level.

Looking at such a camera configuration, it can be said that Nothing is targeting pro-grade photography this time, especially for those users who want to create high quality content through the smartphone itself.

Performance and software

The Nothing Phone 3 will get the latest Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 processor, which claims to give 36% better CPU performance, 88% faster GPU and 60% better NPU (AI performance) than before. Thanks to this chipset, users will experience smooth multitasking, powerful gaming, and fast response time.

The phone will run on Android based Nothing OS and the company has promised that it will get Android OS updates for 5 years and security patches for 7 years. This is a great relief for flagship smartphone users, because getting updates for a long time is a huge plus point in today’s time.

Battery and Charging

The phone will have a large 5,150mAh battery, which will guarantee long lasting. With this, 100W fast wired charging support will be available, which will allow the phone to be fully charged in a few minutes. Apart from this, wireless and reverse wireless charging will also be provided in it, so that other devices can also be charged from this phone.

Price and availability

Although Nothing has not yet officially revealed the price, the company’s CEO Carl Pei has indicated that this phone will be launched in the premium category. According to reports, the price of Nothing Phone 3 can be around GBP 800 (around ₹ 90,000). This price is almost double the launch price of Nothing Phone 2, which started at ₹ 44,999 in India.

If this phone comes at this price point, it will directly compete with flagship smartphones from brands like Samsung, Apple and OnePlus. Talking about its availability, its pre-order window may open soon after the launch event and its sale is likely to start in select countries including India in the next few days.
