Glyph Interface Improvements

One of the most notable features of the update is the enhanced Glyph Interface. Users can long-press the Glyph button on calls to show the name or number of the caller. Essential Notifications can now be customized with preset or custom icons. The update also brings generative ringtones that are synchronized with the Glyph Matrix lighting as well as random patterns of vibration, thereby making notifications more dynamic. Glyph Toys are more stable, and incorrect touches on the Glyph button have been hugely minimized.

New Features in Essential Space

Essential Space is getting more intelligent with the addition of Flip to Record. Flipping the phone over onto its face and keeping the Essential Key pressed allows instant recording of a voice note. The note is saved automatically and added to a meeting to-do list, which can help work professionals and students on the move. It introduces a useful feature for task management hands-free.

Camera and Display Improvements

Both front and rear cameras have seen meaningful upgrades. HDR, Night Mode, and Snapshot scene quality have all been upgraded with enhanced lighting balance and purer image outputs. Video capture now gains from enhanced HDR processing to deliver even more realistic and natural lighting. Moreover, the UltraXDR display now produces high dynamic range graphics with greater highlight-to-shadow gradations, enhancing content viewing.

Improved Gaming and System Optimization

Players will experience better performance as the update frees up 120 frames per second in a hit Battle Royale game. Wi-Fi latency has been minimized, further improving the stability of online multiplayer. Pocket mode has been tuned for fewer accidental touches. Additionally, users are able to freely switch their default gallery app inside Private Space, allowing for greater control over privacy settings.

Audio and Charging Fixes

The update also resolves some audio and charging issues. It corrects audio stuttering that happens when changing spatial audio while playing music. Solving slow charging and unstable charging, problems in displaying the wrong battery level after charging have also been corrected. In addition to these, system performance and power efficiency have also been enhanced.

Rollout and Availability

Nothing OS 3.5 is rolling out in stages. Users can also check manually by going to Settings > System > Feedback. This update gets the Phone (3)’s software journey off to a solid start, polishing the overall experience while introducing considerate new features.
