Design and Display: Sleek and Practical

Moto G06 is reported to come with a 6.88-inch HD+ LCD screen, 120Hz refresh rate, and 260ppi pixel density, which is covered by Gorilla Glass 3. It makes its predecessor look clumsy in comparison, offering smoother scrolling and sharper images. It is also reported to have an IP64 rating, providing minimal dust and splash protection, a decent feature for someone on a tight budget. Render leaks feature a teardrop notch at the front, a chiseled chin at the bottom, and a rectangular camera module at the rear. The phone could feature Tapestry, Arabesque, and Tendril color schemes.

Performance and Hardware: Helio G81 Extreme powered

MediaTek Helio G81 Extreme processor powers the core of Moto G06, accompanied by 4GB of RAM and 256GB maximum built-in storage. It is not a high-end processor, but it will be sufficient for daily usage, social media, and light games. The smartphone should come out with Android 15 installed, providing users with the newest software experience. For security, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor is provided, which is useful without costing much.

Cameras: Dual Setup with 50MP Sensor

For photography, the Moto G06 will feature a dual-rear camera setup, headed by a 50MP primary sensor equipped with autofocus and a secondary flicker sensor. At the front, customers will get an 8MP front camera, which is great for video calls and everyday shots. Though not for serious photography, the configuration should be good enough for everyday use.

Battery and Charging: Trusty Endurance

Battery life also holds a strong point for the Moto G06. The phone was previously seen at Geekbench with a battery of 5,100mAh, but recent leaks indicate it might come out with a 5,200mAh battery. The charging speed, though, will likely still be modest at 10W wired charging that might feel slow relative to the competition, but is fine at this budget.

Price and Availability: Budget Options

The Moto G06 has already surfaced on the website of a European online store, providing us with an estimate of its approximate price. The entry-level 4GB RAM + 64GB storage model might be priced at EUR 119 (around ₹12,300), while the 4GB RAM + 256GB storage model might be priced at EUR 169 (around ₹17,400). The phone is expected to arrive in India sometime before January 2026, joining Motorola’s list of one of its first new-year launches.

Verdict: A Good Upgrade over the G05

With a bigger screen, quicker refresh rate, better chipset, and good battery life, the Moto G06 is an excellent upgrade for the Moto G05. Though it’s not going to provide top-of-the-line performance, its affordability and well-balanced specs ensure that it’s a good option for anyone who wants a good budget smartphone.
