Motorola Edge 70 Pro+ India Launch Soon: Teaser Confirms 50MP Periscope Camera and 6,500mAh Battery
Motorola Edge 70 Pro+ is coming soon to India with a big 6,500mAh battery, a 5,200-nit display that’s pretty bright, and a 50MP periscope zoom camera too.
Motorola Edge 70 Pro+
The Motorola Edge 70 Pro+ is getting ready for its official Indian launch, after the recent rollout of the Edge 70, Pro and Fusion, models. Motorola and Flipkart have already started throwing out little teases for this top-tier flagship, so it looks like the arrival is basically near. From early hints plus leaks, the vibe is a premium style refresh , with extra emphasis on high-end performance plus more noticeable improvements like higher battery density and brighter screen output. All of that puts the new handset in a strong spot as a real heavy hitter in the competitive premium mid-range category.
Design & Display
Motorola still keeps that premium, high-end vibe with the Edge 70 Pro+ , but it’s kind of leaning into distinct textures and a proper flagship-grade display. The handset has a curved-edge 6.8-inch Extreme AMOLED screen, a crisp 1.5K Super HD resolution, ultra-smooth 144Hz refresh, and then a peak brightness that can hit around 5,200 nits. Based on early store teases the sleeker shape will come with back-panel options that feel more “tactile” than usual, like a satin-luxe style, a twill-inspired Pantone Stormy Sea look, plus a sculpted wood finish. And all of it should be well protected with top-tier IP68/IP69 dust and water resistance, also backed by MIL-STD 810H military compliance, which, yea, gives that extra reassurance for rougher days.

Camera Upgrades
The camera setup is where the Pro+ variant honestly kind of really separates itself from the standard model, bringing back a dedicated 50-megapixel periscope telephoto lens that has 3.5x optical zoom going on, plus 50X Super Zoom Pro, it’s tuned more specifically for photographing people portraits at an 85mm focal length. This strong piece is locked inside a very intense triple-sensor rear array, with a 50-megapixel Sony LYTIA™ 710 primary sensor that includes Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) and also a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens that can double as a crisp macro camera. Meanwhile up front, selfie moments and high-fidelity video logging are covered neatly by a 50-megapixel autofocus-equipped shooter that should feel sharp and responsive.
Performance & Hardware
Sorta under the hood, the device handles heavy multi tasking and raw processing power pretty efficiently, with that power efficient 4nm MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Extreme chipset, scaling all the way to 16GB of high-speed LPDDR5X RAM , and fast UFS 4.1 internal storage. For the battery side of things, and to calm that constant battery anxiety without making the phone feel thicker, Motorola packed in a dense 6,500mAh silicon-carbon battery, keeping the profile surprisingly slim. That big power source also backs rapid 90W TurboPower wired fast charging and it should include up to 15W wireless charging too. Software wise you’ll get a clean build of Android 16 right out of the box, with minimal bloatware, like a smooth start rather than all that extra clutter.

Expected Pricing and Availability
While Motorola hasn’t locked down the precise launch date, those active landing pages on Flipkart kinda mean the announcement is right around the corner, maybe sooner than later. Since the Edge 70 Pro+ comes with premium upgrades over the regular Pro model (that one is currently hovering near ₹39,999), it looks like this phone will step into the higher mid-range segment. So, expectations are it could land roughly in the ₹45,000 to ₹49,999 price band, though it will really depend on the memory and storage setups, RAM and internal capacity, like usual.
