Motorola Edge 60s: Motorola is all set to heat up the smartphone market again with its new release. On May 8, the company is going to unveil a new model in a standalone event. The new model, which is one of the Motorola Edge 60 series, has already generated some hype with its design, water resistance, and top-of-the-line features.

Motorola Edge 60s Launch Date and Market Availability

Motorola has now officially confirmed that it will bring the Edge 60s to China on May 8. Two other variants of the Edge 60 series, the Edge 60 and Edge 60 Pro, will also be launched with it. The RAZR 60 and RAZR 60 Ultra of the foldable lineup will also make an appearance on this event. Even though Edge 60s is being marketed as a new phone, there have been rumors that it can be a rebranded version of Motorola Edge 60 Fusion, which is sold in global markets.

Display and Design

Motorola Edge 60s will feature a 6.7-inch curved-edge P-OLED screen. The display will have 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate for a smooth viewing experience. The phone will feature a thin body that is 8.2mm thick and weigh around 190 grams. It is said to be IP68/69 rated, so it will be dust and water resistant, thereby offering it more strength in addition to its thin body. The Edge 60s may be available in mint, pink, and purple colors.

Performance and Battery

The Motorola Edge 60s will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 chip, which should provide decent performance for day-to-day use and gaming. It will come with a 5500mAh battery that supports 68W wired and 15W wireless charging, providing a quick and safe power-up experience.

Camera Features

On the camera front, the device will boast a 50MP Sony LYT-700C primary sensor that supports OIS for sharp and stable images. It will also boast a 13MP ultra-wide lens for macro shots. For selfies and video calls, the Edge 60s is expected to have a 32MP front camera. All these indicate a solid camera setup for content creators and general users alike.

Expected Variants and Rebranding Speculation

While the Edge 60s branding is new, most perceive it as the XT2503-3 model just approved in China. It is said to be a rebadged version of the Motorola Edge 60 Fusion, which has already been released in international markets. This move suggests Motorola is just rebranding its offerings to market according to varying regional preferences.
