Motorola Edge 2025: Motorola has officially unveiled the new Edge 2025 smartphone, which will target the US and Canadian markets. Based on the Motorola Edge 60 for international users, the new smartphone boasts AI-driven features, high-end design, and significant camera enhancements. To hit the stores from June 5, the device merges software smarts with hardware tweaks for a better user experience.

The Motorola Edge 2025 boasts a 6.67-inch curved pOLED screen with resolution of 2712 x 1220 pixels. The screen has a 120Hz refresh rate and is HDR10+ certified. The screen is shielded by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i and delivers a whopping 4,500nits of peak brightness. The device is also designed to last, with MIL-STD-810H military-grade compliance and IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance, respectively. It will be offered in a Pantone-curated Deep Forest color.

Internally, the Edge 2025 is driven by the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 processor. It is equipped with 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB of UFS 2.2 inbuilt storage. The smartphone boots on the current Android 15 operating system, providing a responsive and current software experience. The combination is ideal for everyday use as well as heavy use.

To power everything, Motorola has included a 5,200mAh battery. The phone is compatible with 68W wired TurboPower charging and also comes with 15W wireless charging. The configuration provides fast top-ups and extended performance, maintaining users constantly connected during the day.

The Edge 2025 has a tri-rear camera system that is versatile in nature. It consists of a 50MP primary sensor with OIS, a 50MP ultra-wide-angle lens that has a field of view of 122 degrees, and a 10MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom and up to 30x digital zoom. The phone has a 50MP selfie camera on the front side that can capture 4K videos at 30fps.

This phone brings a series of AI-powered functionalities to boost productivity and creativity. Options such as “Next Move,” “Playlist Studio,” and “Image Studio” support diverse tasks—from creating playlists to designing avatars. “Catch Me Up” catches up on missed alerts, whereas “Pay Attention” records and provides a summary of discussions. “Remember This” assists in reminding users about content from images or notes. There is a specific AI key on the phone’s side, providing instant access to all of these features.

The Motorola Edge 2025 costs $549 in the US and can be purchased unlocked starting June 5 from Amazon, Best Buy, and Motorola’s website. Carrier sales through the likes of T-Mobile, Metro by T-Mobile, and others will arrive a little later. In Canada, it can be purchased starting the same date on motorola.ca, with broader retail and carrier availability coming subsequently.
