Motorola CES 2026: For its next foldable phone, Motorola seems to be exploring a new form factor. In their invitation to the Consumer Electronics Show (CES 2026), the company alluded to a foldable form akin to a book. This gadget might resemble the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7. Up until now, Motorola’s Razr range has solely included vertically folding devices.
For its next foldable phone, Motorola is developing a new form factor. The Lenovo-owned business Motorola alluded to a possible foldable gadget with a book-like foldable design in a picture of its invitation to the Consumer Electronics Show (CES 2026). This next gadget may resemble and rival Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 7, a folding phone that resembles a book. As of now, Motorola’s Razr series consists solely of vertically folding devices. The Razr 50 versions were introduced in 2024, whereas the Motorola Razr 60 series launched earlier this year.
At CES 2026, Motorola may reveal a foldable book.
A package with an invitation to CES 2026 was sent by Motorola to a number of journalists and X users, including editor of Android Headlines. The package contained a wooden flip book and an invitation to Lenovo Tech World, the company’s CES exhibit. “Every fold exposes a possibility.” is written on the packaging.

It is evident from this package that a new form factor is being developed. “We are ready to showcase a fresh perspective at Lenovo Tech World, which will take place on January 6.” is the invitation. This suggests that Motorola is getting ready to introduce a foldable smartphone that resembles a book during the yearly trade expo.
Up until now, Motorola’s foldable phones have only comprised clamshell-style phones that fold vertically. With firms like Samsung and Huawei releasing triple-screen folding smartphones, the foldable market is getting more competitive. The Google Pixel Fold smartphone and the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold series are competitors of Motorola’s purported foldable smartphone.
Earlier this year, the Motorola Razr 60 series was released by Lenovo’s subsidiary. The Razr 60 Ultra’s single 16GB + 512GB RAM and storage option costs Rs. 99,999 in India. In contrast, the Razr 60’s single 8GB + 256GB RAM and storage option prices Rs. 49,999.
The Snapdragon 8 Elite processor powers the Ultra variant, while the MediaTek Dimensity 7400X chipset powers the Motorola Razr 60. The Razr 60 boasts a 4,500mAh battery that supports both 15W wireless and 30W fast wired charging. The 4,700mAh battery of the Razr 60 Ultra supports 68W wired, 30W wireless, and 5W reverse charging.
