iPhone 17 : Apple is represented for making a significant change to the forthcoming iPhone 17 series, which does, in fact, touch on the feeling and use of the phone-the display analyst Ross Young declaring its imposition of the 120 Hz refresh rate for the first time. Such high refresh rates usually exist in the Pro models of iPhones, and Apple, of course, calls it “Pro-Motion.”
Very fine, what gave birth to the arguments that the refresh rate is 120 Hz, and would I care? Plainly, aside from 60 refreshes, standard in all current ones-comfortably so-your display right now refreshes itself 120 times during the same time. This makes all motions be infinitely smoother-whether it be scrolling through social media, watching a video, or gaming.
With that said, it is hypothesized that the new iPhone 17 will be greater in dimensions than the 6.1 inches of the iPhone 16 by 6.3 inches. So, not only will it feel smoother; the bigger size will mean more room for apps, videos, and all the other big-good-stuff in between.
This highlights that Apple is most likely heading in the direction of commercializing the base iPhone models, hence strengthening them toward the Pro models. Until now, huge chasms existed-the screens and, indeed, the performance-between the base model and Pro. Usually, very huge chasms have existed till now in the screens and, indeed, performance. Hence, these upgrades in display would augment a privilege that otherwise would have been kept solely for the Pro models.
Apart from probably having the best display in the market today, iPhone 17 is expected to be packed with either the A18 or A19 variants of chips with 8GB of memory. The Pro ones are most probably packing the even mightier A19 Pro chip with 12GB of RAM. However, for now, base iPhone 17 looks good to trounce the present alternatives.
Expected to be revealed are four models-iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Air, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max. Their production is to be wound up in September 2025.
Hence, if you truly are ready to overhaul and are a little sort of getting a knot in the gut about laying down loads of dollars on anything, then this very much appears to suit you. With upgrading the screen, new chip, and all the mega spec it can offer, this seems to be Apple finally granting some street cred to the iPhones.
