Huawei MatePad : Huawei reportedly launching a new series of its MatePad lineup—a thinner and lighter tablet that would convert shoppers into customers’ next target purchaser without sacrificing display performance. The latest tablet will feature an 8.8-inch OLED 16:10 screen ratio, 120Hz refresh rate to provide silky smooth videos for daily viewing, per Weibo tipster Digital Chat Station leak.

Streamlined Design and Construction

The tablet also had the additional feature of a pencil-thick body, well over 5mm in thickness and weighing close to 200 grams. This would place the tablet among the smallest from Huawei and best suited for users who prefer convenience and ease of use.

Performance and Hardware

Internally, the tablet will be equipped with a Kirin 9-series chip, a clock-throttled Kirin 9020, and 5G support. It being a non-gaming tablet, this specification would be adequate for work and consumption purposes.

Most Likely Launch Schedule

There are rumors about Huawei’s intentions of launching this new MatePad model as a June 2025 release event, as one of the Pura 80 series smartphones. There is no word on this from the company and release yet.

We will let you know about what is new from Huawei in tablets once further information becomes leaked.
