Huawei Pura 80 Ultra: Huawei has once again shown that it is no slouch when it comes to premium smartphones. Recently, the company launched its new Huawei Pura 80 series in China, which includes a total of four models – Pura 80, Pura 80 Pro, Pura 80 Pro+, and most importantly, the Pura 80 Ultra. Each phone has something special, but the Pura 80 Ultra really brings something different and amazing, especially in the camera section.

Pura 80 Ultra

It would not be wrong to call the Pura 80 Ultra the flagship of this series, because the camera technology given in it is different from all the other phones. Huawei has installed a switchable telephoto camera system in it, which has two optical zoom lenses with the same sensor – one 3.7x and the other 9.4x. That is, you can enjoy two types of zoom lengths with the same camera, and a special moving prism technology has been installed in it, which makes this zoom work by changing the position of the lens.

Along with this, it has a 50MP 1-inch main camera, which is the most advanced in Huawei phones till date. Apart from this, there is also a 40MP ultrawide camera and a 1.5MP Red Maple spectral camera, which makes the color more natural and deep. A 13MP front camera has been given on the front.

Display and Performance

Pura 80 Ultra has a large and powerful 6.8-inch LTPO OLED display, which comes with Full HD + resolution. It supports a refresh rate of up to 120Hz, and gives a very smooth using experience with 300Hz touch sampling. The screen also has a PWM dimming rate of 1440Hz, which has less impact on the eyes.

The phone runs on HarmonyOS 5.1, and the battery is also excellent — it packs a 5,700mAh battery that supports 100W fast wired and 80W wireless charging. Huawei hasn’t revealed the chipset details yet, but the rest of the features suggest that the phone will be powerful in terms of processing as well.

Pura 80 Pro and Pura 80 Pro+

Now let’s talk about the Pura 80 Pro and Pura 80 Pro+. The camera setup on both these phones is pretty much the same as the Ultra model, the only difference being that both of them don’t have a switchable telephoto system. Instead, they have a 48MP macro telephoto camera that does up to 4x optical zoom.

All the key features like display, battery, HarmonyOS, and 100W fast charging are the same as the Ultra. The special thing is that both these models have support for Beidou and Tiantong satellite systems, so that you can take advantage of location and emergency messaging even when there is no network. This feature is especially useful for travelers and rural area users.

Huawei Pura 80

Pura 80 i.e. the base model of this lineup, is slightly lighter than the other variants but still has a good number of features. It has a 6.6-inch display and a 5,600mAh battery that supports 66W wired and 50W wireless charging.

Talking about the camera, it has a 50MP main sensor, a 12MP periscope telephoto camera that gives 5.5x zoom, along with a 13MP ultrawide camera and the same 1.5MP Red Maple sensor. A 13MP camera has been given in the front, which is common in all models.

Price

The Huawei Pura 80 series also has prices that vary from model to model. The Ultra version is priced at the top — the 16GB + 512GB variant costs CNY 9,999 (approx. ₹1,18,900) and the 16GB + 1TB variant costs CNY 10,999 (approx. ₹1,30,800).

The Pro+ version starts at ₹95,100, while the Pro model starts at ₹77,300. The price of the base Pura 80 hasn’t been announced yet, but it will be the most affordable variant in the series.
