Huawei Nova 14 Ultra: Huawei has officially launched the Nova 14 Ultra in its new Nova 14 series. It has been introduced along with Nova 14 and Nova 14 Pro and is the most premium flagship model of the series. Nova 14 Ultra is introduced with special HarmonyOS 5, which is given for the first time in a bar-shaped smartphone. Its design, camera setup and satellite connectivity make it a unique and powerful phone.
The display will get a 6.81-inch LTPO OLED panel
The Nova 14 Ultra has a 6.81-inch OLED display, which comes with a slight curve edge. Its resolution is 2860×1272 pixels and it works on LTPO technology. With this, the screen supports adaptive refresh rate from 1Hz to 120Hz. The display has 2160Hz PWM dimming which helps in reducing eye fatigue. The peak brightness of the screen is 5500 nits, which makes the content clear even in sunlight.
Experience new AI features with HarmonyOS 5
Nova 14 Ultra is the first bar-shaped phone to come pre-installed with HarmonyOS 5. This OS is built on Huawei’s Pangu AI model and uses DeepSeek technology, which improves the performance and system response of the phone. It has a new Celia AI assistant that supports natural voice commands, gesture control and smart call handling. Also, photo editing features like Magic Eraser and AI Magic Cutout are also available inbuilt.
Powerful RYYB quad-camera setup
This phone has four rear cameras in which the main sensor is 50MP, which comes with variable aperture (f/1.4–f/4.0) and OIS. It has a 50MP periscope telephoto lens, which comes with 3.7x optical zoom and OIS. The third is a 13MP ultra-wide macro lens and the fourth is a 1.5MP multispectral color sensor. RYYB color filter has been used in all these three main cameras and this camera setup also supports 100x digital zoom.
The front has a 50MP ultra-sensitive portrait camera and an 8MP zoom portrait lens. The front camera comes with 2x optical and 5x digital zoom. Both front and rear cameras support 4K video recording and come with many modes like HDR Vivid, Night Mode, Macro Video, AI Beautification.
Satellite connectivity and audio features
The Nova 14 Ultra has dual-band Wi-Fi 6E and Wi-Fi 7 support. Apart from this, LDAC and L2HC codecs have been provided with Bluetooth 5.2 so that the wireless audio experience is great. It also has support for NFC and text and image based location sharing facility is also provided through BeiDou and TianTong satellite systems.
The phone has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, stereo speakers (with Huawei Histen audio) and many sensors like flicker sensor and ambient light sensor which further improve the display and camera performance.
Great power in battery and fast charging
The Nova 14 Ultra has a 5500mAh battery which supports 100W Huawei SuperCharge Turbo. The phone also comes with a new Ice Crystal All-in-One 100W charger, which allows fast charging anywhere. Despite this, the thickness of the phone is only 7.78mm and the weight is around 204 grams.
Price and availability
The Huawei Nova 14 Ultra starts at 4,199 yuan (approximately ₹48,000). This is the starting price of the 256GB Kunlun Glass variant. The 512GB version is priced at 4,499 yuan (approximately ₹53,000) and the 1TB version is priced at 4,999 yuan (approximately ₹59,000). Its sale will start in China from May 23. Color options include Floating Gold, Floating White, Flowing Purple and Obsidian Black.
