Honor is poised to make waves in the smartphone industry once more. A new phone that will be slimmer than the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge has been hinted to by the firm. When it comes to thin smartphones, this Honor phone will be the thinnest ever. The company has made a comparison between the Galaxy S25 Edge and its future Magic V3 foldable phone in the teaser. The Honor Magic V3 phone appears far thinner than Samsung’s Galaxy S25 Edge, as the picture makes evident.
The Honor Magic V3 phone, which will be thinner than the Galaxy S25 Edge, will soon be available for purchase. Per reports, the Galaxy S25 Edge is 5.8 mm thick. But the Honor Magic V3 will only have a 4.35mm thickness. One could refer to this as a major distinction. The Honor Magic V3 is in its unfolded condition and has a thickness of 4.35mm. The company’s foldable phone is a direct attack on Samsung.
The teaser also includes the question, “Why skinny if you are making compromises to get there?” from the brand. Also, the slogan “THIN without the catch” has been used, which is a clear reference to the fact that Samsung had to make numerous cuts in order to make its phone thin. For this reason, the phone only has a little 3900mAh battery. Honor did not have to do this, though.
With the Magic V3, Honor has hinted at a 5050mAh battery. It is far bigger than the Galaxy S25 Edge. However, since Samsung’s phone is a standard phone and Honor’s phone has been teased in its unfolded condition, this competition cannot be fully justified. Whether the Honor Magic V3 can truly compete with the Galaxy S25 Edge is still up in the air.
The Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge features a 6.7-inch Quad HD + LTPO AMOLED screen. It is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite CPU and can hold up to 512GB of storage and 12GB of RAM. The Galaxy S25 Edge comes with a 3900mAh battery that supports Wireless PowerShare, Qi wireless charging, and 25W fast charging. The phone is rated IP68.
