HMD Confirms Launch Date
HMD went to X (ex-Twitter) to confirm the launch of the Vibe 5G. The phone will go on official sale on September 11, 2025, with the company publishing a short video teaser as well. The teaser not only revealed the name but also provided the first glimpse into its appearance. From the imagery, the phone seems to inherit the design language of its predecessor, the HMD Vibe, but with significant upgrades.
From 4G to 5G Upgrade
The last model, the HMD Vibe, featured the Snapdragon 680 chipset, which had only 4G connectivity. The new Vibe 5G comes as an upgrade refresh at a budget price point with 5G support. Although the company has not revealed the processor, the shift to 5G is quite a strong hint of an upgraded chipset.
