Galaxy Z Fold7: Samsung’s new foldables are back in the news again, this time with the Galaxy Z Fold7 making headlines based on a recently emerged real-world image. The image, which was gone after going viral on the internet, suggests major changes for this flagship phone, potentially validating previous rumors that had raised questions among technology enthusiasts.

Galaxy Z Fold7 Design and Camera Setup

The leaked picture, said to be the back panel of the Galaxy Z Fold7, displays a vertical triple-camera setup just like the Z Fold6. Subtle differences, though, imply that something is in the works. The camera island is a bit wider, and the LED flash has been relocated lower compared to the past. These tweaks are thought to fuel rumors of a huge 200MP primary sensor, a notable improvement over the Z Fold6’s 50MP ISOCELL GN3 sensor. While the overall form, including the rounded edges, closely resembles the earlier model, these changes signal more than superficial refinements.

Specs of Z Fold7 To Expect

As per recent leaks, the Galaxy Z Fold7 is anticipated to have an unfolded thickness of only 3.9mm and folded thickness of 8.9mm, outclassing its peers such as the Oppo Find N5 in terms of thinness. The sizes are said to be 158.4 x 143.1 x 3.9mm in the open state. It could be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip globally, paired with 12GB of RAM and a 4,400mAh battery, which remains the same as last year’s model. The bezels on the inner screen could also decrease from 1.9mm to a meager 1mm, providing an even more immersive display experience.

Z Flip7 and Z Flip7 FE Variants

Whereas Fold7 came seemed to utilize Snapdragon 8 Elite worldwide, adopting a different strategy with its clamshell units might be the way Samsung goes. Z Flip7 is tipped to come with the Exynos 2500 chipset for the majority of its markets, with the Snapdragon one reserved for North America and China. The Z Flip7 FE, on the other hand, might use the Exynos 2400 as a cheaper variant.

Foldables to Watch in 2025

Preemptively scheduled for release early in July 2025 as part of Samsung’s Unpacked event, the Galaxy Z Fold7, Z Flip7, and Z Flip7 FE promise to be the company’s most formidable lineup of foldables yet. The upgraded camera hardware and thinner build might just bring Samsung a new advantage in a highly competitive market.
